Before we wrote our scientific narratives we read a narrative from a girl who was Puerto Rican and read about her experience with being an English learner. The text itself was not the best written, but instead of what other English classes would do which is analyzing the writing we analyzed the content of the writing and learned how writing about personal experiences allows the audience to relate to the text.
